Jim York returns as the Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team. He started his coaching career as a two-year student assistant at Walsh University, and then he went on to coach three years of 7th Grade basketball for North Canton Middle School. After that, he coached five years at the freshman level winning one Freshman Championship. In his nine-year coaching career, Jim has compiled a record of 90-53. In the summer, Jim works a lot with the elementary Vikings under the code name "Sergeant York". He is the director of the Middle School summer basketball camp, and he assists with the Hoover Varsity summer basketball program. Jim, a Canfield High School and Walsh University graduate, is a 7th Grade math teacher at North Canton Middle School.
